Spikes up to 40 x 6–7 mm. at fruiting, ovoid or shortly cylindric, densely flowered, occasionally with one or two flowers becoming remote at maturity.
Calyx 8–9.5 mm. long, glabrous, subequally 5-lobed or with 4 subequal lobes and one much reduced in size or even absent; lobes 1–1.5 mm. long.
Perennial 10–20 cm. tall, woody; stems erect or ascending, almost simple, subterete, sparsely hirsute or almost glabrous.
Corolla white; tube c. 8 mm. long, sparsely pilose without; limb 12–14 mm. in diam.; lobes up to 4 mm. wide, obovate.
Bracts 4.5–5 x 2–2.5 mm., rhombic-ovate, acuminate, minutely ciliate, otherwise glabrous.
Capsule 3–3.5 mm. long, ovoid, slightly acute.
Bracteoles c. 4 mm. long, lanceolate, acute.
