Characteristics

Leaves 15–30 x 1 mm., opposite or in axillary fascicles, linear-acute, somewhat curved, convolute when dry, glabrous or pilose towards base, rarely ciliate.

Calyx 8–9.5 mm. long, glabrous, subequally 5-lobed or with 4 subequal lobes and one much reduced in size or even absent; lobes 1–1.5 mm. long.
Perennial 10–20 cm. tall, woody; stems erect or ascending, almost simple, subterete, sparsely hirsute or almost glabrous.
