Corolla yellow, through greenish to purple; tube 7.5–9 mm. long, glabrous below, minutely to shortly pubescent above, markedly curved from midway or above, slightly constricted at throat, throat subglabrous, not pilose or villous; lobes 2–2.5 mm. long, oblong, fleshy, margins involute, undulate.

Bracts c. 4.5–5.5(7.5) x 1.5–2.5 mm., ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, pilose especially on three raised dark nerves, densely ciliate.
