Inflorescence short, terminal, compact when mature; flowers white. Bracts mostly ciliate. Calyx 4-8 mm long; tube 8-ribbed, glabrous; lobe ciliate. Corolla white; tube externally glabrous; lobes glabrous. Stamens and style included in corolla tube. Flowering time Oct.-Mar. Fruit extends beyond calyx lobes when mature.
