Characteristics

Perennial herb; stems short, rhizomatous glabrous, or rarely hairy. Leaves rosulate, variable: entire-spathulate, spathulate-dentate, pinatisect or pinnate with 1–several pairs of pinnae. Inilorescence scape to 25 cm long, usually leafless; flowers in a corymb-like raceme; pedicels often minutely papillose. Sepals 2–2.5 mm long, purple pigmented with white margins. Petals usually 4–6 mm long, white. Stamens 6. Style obtuse, less than 1 mm long. Siliqua linear, 15–30 mm long, 0.7–1 mm wide, erect, often overtopping inflorescence; pedicels erect to spreading, 5–17 mm long. Seeds ovoid to oblong, 1–1.5 mm long, compressed, narrowly winged.
