Characteristics

Perennial herb; stems weak, to 1 m long, rhizomatous or stoloniferous. Basal leaves rarely seen; cauline leaves pinnate; pinnae 1–5 pairs, the terminal pinna orbicular to ovate, lateral pinnae ovate to linear to filiform, reducing in size and division towards inflorescence. Sepals 2–5 mm long. Petals 5–12 mm long, white or lilac. Stamens 6. Style 1.5–3 mm long. Siliqua linear, 15–40 mm long, 1–1.5 mm wide, erect to spreading, rarely overtopping inflorescence. Pedicels spreading to horizontal, 1–3 cm long. Seeds ovoid to oblong, 1–2 mm long, compressed, with or without narrow wing.
