Perennial shrubs or small trees, evergreen; latex white. Stems without spines. Leaves petiolate, alternate; lamina entire, coriaceous, glabrous; colleters absent. Inflorescences terminal, cymose, pedunculate. Flowers ±scentless, pedicellate. Calyx with colleters. Corolla funnel-shaped; tube narrow at base, with internal indumentum; lobes sinistrorse in bud. Corolline corona absent. Stamens included, inserted at apex of narrow portion of corolla tube, not adherent to style-head; anthers ovoid to ellipsoidal, concealed by corolla scales. Disc cupular or pulvinate. Style-head obconical, with isomorphic spreading lobes. Fruit drupaceous, syncarpous, pyriform. Seeds 4, compressed, ellipsoidal, winged, ecomose.
