Characteristics

Shrub to 4 m tall. Leaves with petiole 1–3 mm long; lamina linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, to 15 cm long, to 15 mm wide, attenuate, acute or short-to long-acuminate, discolorous; upper surface glossy dark green, with venation obscure; lower surface pale green, with venation just visible but not prominent. Flowers 50–60 mm long, 24–35 mm diam.; pedicels 20–37 mm long. Corolla yellow or orange; tube 25–28 mm long, 10–15 mm diam. at throat; lobes obovate, 27–33 mm long, 13–15 mm wide. Disc annular. Fruit 20–27 mm long, 28–30 mm wide, black when ripe.
