Rootstock producing a tuber, sometimes adventitious tubers produced from upper nodes. Stem slender, twining or pendulous, glabrous. Leaves somewhat fleshy, shortly petiolate; petiole 3-6 mm long; blade ovate or deltoid-ovate, acute or obtuse, apiculate, up to 25 mm long, 7-17 mm broad towards base. Flowers in pedunculate cymes, subumbellately 3-6-flowered, opening in succession; peduncle 3-8 mm long; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Sepals lanceolate, ±2 mm long. Corolla 20-23 mm long; tube 16-19 mm long with subglobose basal inflation, cylindric above and only slightly expanded to the mouth, thinly pubescent within inflated base; lobes linear-spathulate from a deltoid base, ±4 mm long, replicate, sometimes with few long, purple hairs from keel. Corona arising slightly above base of staminal column with 5 shallow pockets ±1 mm deep, with entire outer margin; inner lobes arising slightly within rim of outer basin, lanceolate-spathulate, attenuate, dorsally flattened, acute, 2 mm long, incumbent-erect-spreading.
