Perennial (?) herb. Rootstock unknown, presumed to be perennial with fascicled, ± fusiform roots. Stems 1-2, 0.1-0.3 m tall, sparsely branched, glabrous or bifariously puberulous. Leaves subsessile, linear, 30-70 mm long, up to 4 mm broad, scabrous on midrib beneath, margin minutely toothed. Flowers 1-2, lateral at nodes; pedicels 4-8 mm long. Sepals subulate, up to 4 mm long. Corolla about 10 mm long, divided nearly to base, without tube; lobes linear-oblong, acute, replicate, ciliate, with minute papilla-like or clavate, purple hairs to halfway, possibly greenish, tinted with brown. Corona arising i up staminal column, outer lobes subquadrate, about 1.5 mm long, divided halfway into linear-attenuate lobules falcately curved inwards, minutely papillate; inner lobes linear, incumbent-erect, much overtopping outer lobes.
