Characteristics

Perennial herb. Tuber flattened, producing tuft of branches from base. Stems 50-70 mm tall, puberulous. Leaves linear-lanceolate to elliptic, obtuse, tapering into short petiole, 10-12 mm long, up to 6 mm broad. Flowers (1)2 at nodes; pedicels 4-6 mm long, 8 mm in fruit, puberulous. Sepals lanceolate, ±1.5 mm long, slightly puberulous. Corolla 'very minute', ±2 mm long; lobes a little longer than calyx, spreading. Corona projecting from corolla. Follicles (immature) linear-fusiform, 30-70 mm long, ±3.5 mm thick, tapering, glabrous.
