Characteristics

Perennial herb. Tuber subglobose (small). Stem single, erect, sparsely branched, up to about 80 mm tall, slender, minutely recurved-pubescent, slightly scabrid. Leaves linear, up to 15 mm long, tapering to a short petiole, minutely ciliate. Flowers (1)2 lateral at nodes; pedicels 4-6 mm long, slender, minutely adpressed-pubescent. Sepals lanceolate, 1-1.5 mm long. Corolla about 3 mm long, dotted yellowish white, wine-red on inner surface; tube about 1 mm long, cup-shaped; lobes oblong-lanceolate, suberect or campanulately spreading, about 2 mm long, with margin incurved about middle and tips thickened and incurved. Corona arising above base of staminal column, shortly tubular-campanulate; outer lobes divided into 4.2 mm ear, incurved lobules overtopping staminal column; inner lobes incumbent on backs of anthers and very slightly exceeding them.
