Characteristics

Perennial herb. Tuber up to about 40 mm diam., subglobose to depressed. Stems 1-few, 50-100 mm tall, pubescent or puberulous. Leaves linear, lanceolate or elliptic, up to 40 x 12 mm, tapering into a short petiole, sometimes undulate, thinly pubescent or glabrescent on both sides. Flowers (1)2-8, lateral at nodes; pedicels 2-8 mm long. Sepals linear-lanceolate, up to 4 mm long. Corolla up to nearly 10 mm long; tube up to 2 mm long, 3-5 mm diam. at mouth, campanulate, glabrous outside, thinly pubescent on upper part within, white; lobes up to 6 mm long, linear from the ovate deltoid base, with recurved margins, erect or slightly spreading, incurved at apex, with few hairs extending from the tube within, greenish towards base, becoming brownish or tawny-yellow towards tips, drying dark brown. Corona shortly cup-like below, appearing 10-toothed with teeth deltoid and erect; inner lobes arising from within cup, linear, incumbent on backs of anthers. Follicles 2, up to 70 mm long, 5 mm diam.
