Cauline leaves (3) 6–9 (10) x (1) 2.5–3 cm., ovate-triangular-lanceolate, acute at the apex, semi-amplexicaul at the base, conspicuously 3-nerved, pale yellow green.
Stamens inserted about 1 mm. below the throat of the corolla; filaments 1.5–3.5 mm. long; anthers 5–8 mm. ellipsoid, yellower pale yellow, twisted.
Ovary 8–10 x 4–5 mm. narrowly-ellipsoid, narrowing into a style c. 10 mm. long; stigma bilobed c. 2 mm. long, oblong.
Corolla tube 5–8 mm. long; lobes 18–25 x 3–7 mm., oblong-lanceolate, apiculate at the apex.
Laxly trailing or scrambling annual or perennial herb up to 1.50 m. tall.
Calyx tube c. 2 mm. long; lobes 6–8 x 1–1.5 mm. dorsally carinate.
Seeds 0.25–0.3 mm. in diam.; testa faveolate.
Capsule 18 x 5 mm., cylindric-ovoid.
Stem branched, 4-ridged.
