Characteristics

Roots fibrous from a short taproot. Stem 1.5–8 cm high. Basal leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, 3–15 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, ±acute, ±persistent. Stem leaves ovate to lanceolate, 2–6 mm long. Inflorescence 1-or 2-flowered; pedicels 0.5–3 cm long. Flowers 2–7 mm long. Calyx tube sharply 4-keeled, 2–5 mm long, sub-membranous between lobes; lobes c. 0.5 mm long, triangular-acute. Corolla tube 2–5 mm long; limb rotate; lobes broadly ovate-cuneate. Anthers c. 0.4 mm long. Ovary 2–3 mm long; stigma broadly 2-lobed. Capsule to c. 3.5 mm long. Seeds ±ovoid, c. 0.3 mm long, pale yellowish brown.
