Leaves simple; blade broadly ovate to suborbicular, seldom more than 2 cm. long, very scabrous.. Inflorescence rather lax, up to 17 cm. long.. Sepals ± 2 mm. long, glandular-pubescent.. Petals yellow.. Stamens 6.. Capsules sessile, curved, 1.5–2.8 cm. long, glabrous or rather sparsely glandular.. Seeds 0.6–0.8 mm. in diameter, black, papillose.. Fig. 2/14, p. 10.
