Annual herb, rather weak and low growing, up to 6 dm. tall.. Stem rather densely covered with glandular or eglandular hairs.. Leaves petiolate, 3-foliolate; leaflets elliptic or obovate-elliptic or almost rhombic, commonly about 2.2 cm. long, 0.8 cm. wide, hairy like the stem or subglabrous; petiole 5–30 mm. long.. Inflorescence not clearly demarcated, the bracts being mainly similar to the leaves in size.. Sepals lanceolate, 2–3 mm. long, glandular-ciliate.. Petals up to 6 mm. long, pink or palely so.. Stamens 5–6.. Gynophore 0–2 mm. long.. Capsules 1.7–3.5 cm. long, pubescent with mostly gland-tipped hairs.. Seeds ±1.8 mm. in diameter, orange to dark brown, with low transverse ridges.

It is a tropical plant. It grows at higher altitudes between 1,000-2,000 m altitude.
