Leaves petiolate, 3–5-foliolate; leaflets ovate-elliptic to almost rhombic, 1.5–4 cm. long, 0.6–1.25 cm. wide, glandular on both surfaces, sometimes densely so; petiole up to 4.75 cm. long.. Inflorescence up to 15 cm. long; bracts small, simple or 3-foliolate.. Sepals linear-lanceolate, 4–6 mm. long, glandular.. Petals ±1.5 cm. long, red or purplish-pink.. Stamens 7–8..
