Leaves petiolate, 3–5-foliolate; leaflets narrowly oblanceolate to oblanceolate-elliptic, 5–24(–40) mm. long, 2–6 mm. wide, glabrous or almost so; petiole 0.5–3.5 cm. long.. Inflorescence rather rigid but slender, up to 30(–45) cm. long; bracts small, simple or 3-foliolate.. Sepals linear-lanceolate, 3–4 mm. long, glandular.. Petals 10–12 mm. long, pinkish-magenta.. Stamens 9(–? 10).. Gynophore 7–12 mm. long, usually a little shorter than the pedicel.. Capsules 3.5–7.5 cm. long, glabrous or with a few shortly stalked glands..
