Characteristics

Annual herb, straggling to erect, the branches to 60 cm long, sparsely glandular-pubescent, unarmed. Leaves simple to 3–5-foliolate, sessile to petiolate; leaflets and simple leaves linear-lanceolate to linear, to 4 cm long, sparsely glandular-pubescent; petiole to 12 mm long. Inflorescence a raceme, bracteate to ebracteate. Sepals ovate, 0.7–2 mm long, glandular-pubescent. Petals obovate, 4–15 mm long, scarcely clawed, yellow. Stamens 3–5, rarely 7, free, unequal, the longest equal to or slightly shorter than petals; anthers curved. Ovary sessile, glabrous to sparsely glandular. Siliqua linear to fusiform, 1–5 cm long, 1.5–2 mm wide, horizontal to pendulous; pedicels to 15 mm long; valves finely longitudinally striate, sparsely glandular, constricted around seeds; style to 7 mm long. Seeds suborbicular, 1–2 mm long, transverse rugose, cleft open, weakly to strongly arillate.
