Characteristics

Spikelets 5–10 mm long, 7–12-flowered, elliptic to narrowly elliptic-lanceolate; glumes 2.1–4 mm long, subequal, obtuse to acute at the apex, the inferior narrowly lanceolate-oblong, the superior elliptic-oblong; lemmas 2.5–4.7 mm long, ovate, becoming cartilaginous, appressed-pilose on the back below with clavate hairs; palea shorter than the lemma, glabrous or with clavate hairs below.

Spikelet 5-10 mm long, 7-12-flowered; glumes obtuse to acute; upper glume 1-nerved; lemma with club-shaped hairs near the base; anther 0.8-1.  long.
