Spikelets 1-flowered, narrowly elliptic, at length gaping, 2.5–3.5 mm. long, light green, the rhachilla not produced beyond the floret; glumes subequal, a little longer than the lemma, the lower narrowly elliptic and (1–)3-nerved, the upper lanceolate-elliptic and 3-nerved; lemma 2.4–3 mm. long, 3-nerved, appressedly pubescent, denticulately obtuse.
