Spreading undershrub to 70 cm tall. Leaves linear to elliptic, revolute, entire, stellate-tomentose but upper surface glabrescent with scurfy scars, and sometimes varnished; lamina 12-30 mm long, 3-6 mm wide. Inflorescences with pedicels very short; bracteoles close under flower. Sepals linear to narrowly elliptic, 6-8 mm long, adnate to lower half of ovary. Corolla to 15 mm long, stellate-tomentose outside, adaxial lobes with bristles near both margins, lilac-pink to white; lobes ±equal; wings 2-3 mm wide. Ovules 6-8, axile. Capsule ovoid, c. 5 mm long; valves deeply 2-fid.
