Flowers small, in axillary and terminal clusters, often aggregated at the ends of the stem branches, hermaphrodite, pentamerous, with slightly perigynous receptacles. Sepals persistent, green with white margins. Petals shorter than or slightly exceeding the sepals in length. Stamens 5. Ovary unilocular, with a solitary basal ovule on a long funicle; three subsessile stigmata. Fruits indehiscent, one-seeded, and enclosed in the persistent calyx.
