Characteristics

Annual herbs. Sepals spreading, not saccate. Petals not clawed. Stamens 6, spreading. Nectariferous glands on each side of the lateral stamens and subtending the median stamens but absent between them. Stigma subsessile. Silicula dehiscent; septum somewhat narrow; valves only slightly keeled. Seeds 3–7 per locule, mucous; radicle incumbent.
