Characteristics

Erect perennial to 50 cm tall, glabrous except flowers; stem triangular with acute angles, 2-3.5 mm wide. Leaves sessile, linear to linear-oblong, entire; lamina 15-30 mm long, 2-4 mm wide. Flowers in panicles; inflorescence branches to 3 together, to 5-flowered, 8-13 mm long; pedicel 3-5.5 mm long, bracteoles 1-1.5 mm long. Sepals hidden by hairs, c. 0.5 mm long. Corolla to 10 mm long; hairs outside appressed, type iv, pale grey; wings 2.5-2.7 mm wide, slightly smaller above auricle; calli 1-3 per row or obsolete. Ovary gibbous, 1.5-1.7 mm long. Fruit orbicular, 2-3 mm diam., gibbous, compressed, wrinkled, glabrous.
