Erect perennial to 60 cm tall, glabrous or glabrescent except inflorescence. Leaves sessile, linear-oblong, revolute, entire, thick, papillate; lamina 11-37 mm long, 2-4 mm wide. Flowers in axillary clusters; branches 1-3 together, 3-7-flowered, 9-21 mm long; pedicel 2-5 mm long; bracteoles linear-oblong, 4-6 mm long. Sepals obsolete. Corolla 8-10 mm long; hairs outside fine, not appressed, types i and ii, pale grey; wings 1.7-2.2 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli 2-5 per row. Ovary c. 2 mm long; ovule erect. Fruit not seen.
