Characteristics

Erect perennial to 1 m tall, tomentose with loose, brownish hairs. Leaves sessile or shortly petiolate, entire or crenulate, ovate to elliptic, glabrescent above; lamina 11-46 mm long, 6-25 mm wide. Flowers in cymo-panicles; inflorescence branches solitary, 5-11 mm long, each with 2-4 flowers; bracteoles leaf-like, elliptic to ovate, 7-10 mm long; pedicel 1-2 mm long. Sepals obscured by indumentum, 1-1.2 mm long. Corolla 10-12 mm long; hairs outside dense, not appressed, type i, brown; wings 1.5-2 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli to 4 per row. Ovary 2.5-3 mm long; ovule erect. Fruit not seen.
