Characteristics

Erect, branched perennial to 30 cm tall, brownish pubescent or glabrescent; stem with acute angles, papillate. Leaves sessile, upper ones usually in pseudowhorls, slightly recurved, oblong to oblanceolate, dentate, papillate; lamina 8-22 mm long, 2-8 mm wide. Flowers in condensed panicles; inflorescence branches clustered, 1-3-flowered, to 2 cm long; pedicel 1-2.5 mm long; bracteoles oblong, 6-7.5 mm long. Sepals obscured by hairs, 0.4-0.7 mm long. Corolla c. 8 mm long; hairs outside loose, type v, brownish grey; wings 1-2 mm wide, slightly smaller above auricle; calli to 2 per row. Ovary 1.5-2 mm long. Fruit not seen.
