Characteristics

Erect perennial to 70 cm tall, glabrous except flowers; stem with acute angles. Leaves sessile, linear to oblong-elliptic, entire; lamina 11-65 mm long, 1.5-21 mm wide. Flowers in panicles; inflorescence branches clustered, 2-5 together, to 5 cm long, to 3-flowered; pedicel to 3 mm long; bracteoles oblong to narrowly elliptic, 1-1.5 mm long. Sepals unequal, 0.4-0.6 mm long. Corolla 8-10 mm; hairs outside appressed, type iv, silvery to grey; wings 2.4-2.6 mm wide, almost obsolete above auricle; calli 1-3 per row. Ovary oblique, 1.6-2 mm long. Fruit oblique, to 7 mm long.
