Erect perennial to 20 cm tall, with thick tufted stock. Leaves basal, sessile or shortly petiolate, oblong-lanceolate or spathulate, entire, densely pale grey tomentose below, ±glabrous above; lamina 40-65 mm long, 5-15 mm wide; petiole to 5 mm long. Flowers almost sessile in erect, spreading thyrses or loose heads 6-32 cm long, glabrescent or with scattered hairs; bracteoles oblong to narrowly elliptic, 1.5-2.5 mm long; pedicel obsolete. Sepals linear, 2-4 mm long, concealed by long, erect, silky hairs. Corolla 7-9 mm long; hairs outside long, silky, type ii, white; wings 1-1.5 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli obsolete. Ovary 1-1.5 mm long. Fruit unknown.
