Characteristics

Ascending perennial to 50 cm tall, greyish tomentose. Leaves sessile, ovate to elliptic, entire with thick, papillate, slightly recurved margin, glabrescent above, white tomentose below; lamina 7-39 mm long, 5-21 mm wide. Flowers in cymo-panicles; inflorescence branches usually 1 or rarely 3 together, 1-3-flowered, to 5.5 cm long; pedicel 1-3 mm long; bracteole oblong, 3-5 mm long. Sepals obsolete. Corolla 7-10 mm long; hairs outside dense, silky, type ii, grey; wings 1.5-3 mm wide, usually shorter above auricle; calli 5-9 per row. Ovary 2-2.5 mm long; ovule curved. Fruit obovoid, slightly oblique, c. 4 mm long, glabrescent.
