Characteristics

Erect, branched subshrub to 60 cm tall, loosely pale grey or yellowish tomentose. Leaves cauline, sessile, obovate to lanceolate or cuneate, usually bluntly toothed towards apex, ±glabrescent above, usually tomentose below; lamina 9-26 mm long, 2-10 mm wide. Flowers in leafless racemes 13-28 cm long, towards ends of branches; bracteoles 1-2 mm long; pedicel to 3 mm long. Sepals triangular, 0.5 mm long, with long ±erect silky hairs. Corolla 8-12 mm long; hairs outside white to grey, type ii; wings 2-3 mm wide, usually smaller above auricle. Calli almost obsolete. Ovary c. 2 mm long. Fruit ovoid, to 3 mm long.
