Characteristics

Erect perennial 20-60 cm high, glabrous or glabrescent except flowers; stem with acute angles. Leaves sessile, often in pseudowhorls, linear to elliptic or lanceolate, entire or with few teeth; lamina 16-45 mm long, 2-19 mm wide. Flowers in panicles; inflorescence branches 1 or 2 together, 1-or 2-flowered, to 3 cm long; pedicel 1-2 mm long; bracteoles linear, 2.5-3 mm long. Sepals 0.7-1.2 mm long. Corolla 10-12 mm long; hairs outside type v, rusty; wings 2-2.7 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli 3-9 per row. Ovary 2-2.5 mm long. Fruit to 5 mm long.
