Erect perennial to 70 cm tall, glabrous except inflorescence; stem with acute angles. Leaves sessile, rarely in pseudowhorls, narrowly oblong to lanceolate, usually entire; lamina 50-80 mm long, 8-30 mm wide. Flowers in panicles; inflorescence branches 1-4 together, 4-or 5-flowered, 21-31 mm long; pedicel 1-3 mm long; bracteoles oblong-elliptic, 3-3.5 mm long. Sepals linear or linear-oblong, 1.5-2 mm long. Corolla 14-17 mm long; hairs outside long, not appressed, type v, grey; wings 3.8-4.2 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli 3-7 per row. Ovary c. 3 mm long. Fruit ellipsoidal, c. 4 mm long, glabrescent, ribbed.
