Erect perennial to 1 m tall, densely tomentose with whitish grey type i hairs. Leaves sessile, sometimes fasciculate in axils, elliptic-obovate or oblong-lanceolate, entire, densely hairy on both surfaces; lamina 8-60 mm long, 4-31 mm wide. Flowers in cymo-panicles or clusters; inflorescence branches 1-3 together, 3-5-flowered, 9-31 mm long or sometimes shorter; pedicel 2-4 mm long; bracteoles oblong-elliptic, 1.5-2.5 mm long. Sepals obsolete. Corolla 9-12 mm long; hairs outside long, not appressed, type i and ii, grey; wings 1.5-2.5 mm wide; calli 7-11 per row or rarely obsolete. Ovary c. 3 mm long; ovule erect. Fruit not seen.
