Characteristics

Erect perennial to 50 cm tall, brown tomentose when young, glabrescent; stem with acute angles. Leaves sessile, sometimes in pseudowhorls, obovate-oblong to cuneate, dentate or lobed; lamina 16-55 mm long, 3-35 mm wide. Flowers in panicles; inflorescence branches up to 7 together, to 7-flowered, to 6 cm long; pedicel 3-7 mm long; bracteoles oblong-elliptic, 1.7-2.5 mm long. Sepals hidden beneath hairs, 0.2-0.3 mm long. Corolla c. 8 mm long; hairs outside ±appressed, type v, golden or greyish brown; wings 1-2.5 mm wide, smaller above auricle; calli 4-9 per row. Ovary 1.5-2.5 mm long. Fruit to 5 mm long.
