Fronds 2-pinnate; pinna rachises with dense rufous stellate hairs and ciliate scales; pinnae 2-pinnatifid, oblong, 30-40 × 14-17 cm, base attenuate, sessile, apex acuminate; pinnules 30-35 on each side, alternate, deeply pectinately pinnatifid to costa, narrowly lanceolate, ca. 10 × 1-1.3 cm, apex acuminate; lobes alternate, 20-35 on each side, broadly lanceolate, 5-6 × 2-2.2 mm, apex obtuse; lamina thinly leathery, costae, costules, and veins with dense rufous stellate hairs abaxially; costae depressed adaxially; veins obscure or slightly prominent abaxially. Sori covered with rufous hairs, obscure or slightly prominent abaxially; sporangia 3 or 4.
