Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.6 m high, stems upright, intricately branched, woody with age. Leaves globose, bladder cells papillate. Flowers solitary, bright pink. Flowering time Oct.-Mar. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, covering membranes complete, closing bodies absent.
