Leaves subcylindrical in cross section. Plants prostrate or sprawling. Sprawling shrublet to 20 cm, with slender, red, scarcely papillate branches. Leaves terete to subterete, obtuse, sparsely papillate. Flowers to 15 mm diam., magenta. Fruits 5-locular, with high rims, valve wings rather narrow.
