Characteristics

Cushion-shaped, succulent shrub, up to 90 mm tall, branches decumbent. Leaves subcylindrical, up to 11 x 2.5 mm, up to 3.5 mm thick, epidermis with dense, globose papillae. Flower with pedicel 7-15 mm long, reaching up to 30 mm in fruit, petals purplish pink, basally with a broad white line. Fruit base bell-shaped, top highest in centre, expanding keels broad and parallel to tip of valve, valve wings almost rectangular, 5-locular.
