Characteristics

Leaves alternately erect and dense at the top of the stem, horizontal or deflexed and less closely arranged on the lower part of the stem; lamina 4–8 x 3–4 mm., obovate to spathulate, glandular towards the margin above, pilose below; stipules 2–4 mm. long, membraneous, lacerated at the apex; petioles 0·5–1·2 x 0·05–0·1 cm., pilose above and densely pilose below.
