Herb with tuber; vertical stolon 1–6 cm long. Leaves in a flat rosette; lamina spathulate-obovate, 8–20 mm long, 5–10 mm wide, often reddish. Scapes 1–10, 1–3 cm long, 1–(rarely 2)-flowered. Calyx 4–6.5 mm long, divided for 3–5 mm into ovate-lanceolate lobes, punctate; margins entire to irregularly dentate. Petals spathulate, 5–10 mm long, white. Styles 3, each divided into many filiform segments.
