Characteristics

Herb with fibrous roots. Stem erect, to 5 cm long, densely clothed with old leaves. Leaves crowded; lamina narrowly oblong to subspathulate, 2.5 mm long on terete petioles 4–5 mm long; stipules laciniate, brownish, 4 mm long. Scapes 1 or 2, sparsely glandular or hirsute, 7–20 mm long, 2–7-flowered; pedicels 1–3 mm long. Calyx 3–4 mm long, the lobes narrowly obovate or spathulate, rather acute, 1.5–3 mm long, sometimes sparsely pilose, the margins slightly irregular. Petals linear-obovate 4–5 mm long, cream or white. Styles 3–5, simple, 2.5 mm long; stigma reniform.
