Characteristics

Herb with tuber. Stem erect, simple, 10–20 cm long; prophylls near base scattered, the uppermost with an undeveloped lamina. Leaves solitary or in groups of 2 or 3, sometimes on short axillary branchlets; lamina ovate with short lobes, 1.5–2 mm wide; primary leaves with dilated, narrowly winged petioles 8–14 mm long, secondary leaves with terete petioles 5–8 mm long. Inflorescences terminal on upper branches, racemose, 5–12-flowered; pedicels 4–8 mm long. Sepals ovate-elliptic, 1.5–2 mm long, glabrous. Petals spathulate, 4–6 mm long, white. Styles 3, rarely 4, horizontal, 1–1.5 mm long, each divided into many clavate segments.
