Characteristics

Herb with tuber; vertical stolon 4–6 cm long. Stem erect, 10–30 cm long, with many bract-like prophylls 4–10 mm long near base. Leaves scattered; lamina broadly reni– form with short lobes, 3–6 mm diam., peltate, on slender petiole 5–15 mm long. Inflorescence 1–5-flowered, glabrous; pedicels 2–4 cm long. Flowers usually 8– merous. Sepals ovate-elliptic, obtuse or acute, 4–8 mm long, shortly dentate, the margins with sessile glands. Petals (sometimes up to 12) oblanceolate, 10–18 mm long, denticulate, white or pink. Styles divided to base and much-branched to form a dense tuft, 2 mm long.
