Herb with tuber; vertical stolon 6–10 cm long. Stem climbing, to 1.5 m long, pilose in upper part. Leaves in alternate groups of 3; lamina orbicular, deeply concave, inverted, 4–10 mm diam.; primary petiole 3–5 cm long, secondary petiole 10–15 mm long. Inflorescence paniculate, many-flowered, terminal; pedicels 3–15 mm long. Sepals narrowly lanceolate-ovate, 3–8 mm long, densely pubescent, the apex fringed or pectinate. Petals obovate, 6–14 mm long, usually white, sometimes pink or red. Styles 3, 2.5–3.5 mm long, dichotomously branched from base.
