Herb with tuber; vertical stolon 5–8 cm long. Stem erect or semi-erect to 50 cm long, glabrous; lower part with 2–10 widely-spaced narrow prophylls. Leaves in alternate groups of 3; lamina reniform-crescentic with short lobes, peltate, on slender petioles, the median 30–50 mm long and deflexed, the laterals 10–15 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal panicle, 4–16-flowered; pedicels 3–10 mm long. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, acute, 5–7 mm long, densely pubescent. Petals obovate, 9–12 mm long, white, yellow, pink or red. Styles divided almost to base into many segments, often again-branched, slightly dilated distally.
