Characteristics

Perennial herb with fibrous roots. Stem to 5 mm long. Leaves 10–30 in a convex rosette; lamina orbicular, 2–2.5 mm diam., on flat petiole 3–7 mm long and 2–2.5 mm wide; stipules 3-lobed, 3–4 mm long, the mid-lobe 2–3–furcate with the lacinae sometimes again bilobed, the lateral lobes bilobed with a third seta at base of inner margin. Scapes 2–8, 3–4 cm long, minutely glandular, 5–8-flowered; pedicels 4–5 mm long, deflexed. Calyx 1.5–2.5 mm long, divided into obovate lobes, glandular-pubescent, the apices of the lobes entire or slightly fimbriate. Petals obovate, 3–7 mm long, pink, red or white. Styles 5, sometimes 4, simple, subulate, 1–2 mm long.
