Tuberous herb. Stem erect or trailing, 7–12 cm long, rarely up to 18 cm, glabrous, the nodes often with red, adventitious roots. Leaves single or with a minute, almost sessile secondary leaf in the axil; lamina suborbicular-reniform, 2.5–3 mm diam.; petiole 4–6 mm long. Inflorescence racemose, 5–15-flowered, terminal; pedicels 3–7 mm long. Sepals ovate, 2–3 mm long, glabrous, the apex fimbriate or pectinate. Petals obovate, 3.5–4.5 mm long, white. Styles with 9 or 10 horizontally spreading, simple lobes and 4 or 5 erect, simple lobes arising from the centre.
