Caulescent herb forming an apical rosette. Stem up to 10 cm long, invested by marcescent leaves. Leaves spathulate, 10-25 mm long, petiole and blade well defined; stipules coriaceous and conspicuous, 3-7 mm long, 3-7-partite; petiole 6-15 x 1-2 mm, conspicuously hairy beneath; blade obovate, 4-10 x 2-4 mm, hairy beneath. Inflorescences 1-2(-4) per plant, 8-30 cm long, (4-)6-20-flowered; peduncle erect or curved near base, 8-20 cm long, with glandular hairs or sessile glands, rarely glabrous. Flowers with sepals ovate or narrowly ovate, joined at base, 4-5 x 1-2 mm, margin entire, with glandular hairs outside; petals white or pink, spathulate, 4-6 x 2-2.5 mm; stamens 4-6 mm long; pollen tetrad 55-75 µm diameter, spines and spinules present, spine 2 µm long, 9-14 µm2; ovary with 3 styles, bipartite near base. Seeds foveolate-reticulate, narrowly oblongoid, 0.4-0.6 x 0.15-0.30 mm, covered with granulate wax.
